Can you answer zurc137’s question about Bankruptcy?:
This is for you rush limbaugh types. Now that the economy is tanking, why is it such a sad day for these companies that are hitting the rock bottom but when a hard working family who had control of their bills until the price increases, files for bankruptcy some say they are taking advantage?

Bankruptcy Feedback: It’s beyond a double-standard.
Bankruptcy Feedback: I know, it’s horrible isn’t it? My boyfriend and I are just coming off being a welfare family, and with the recent increases in everything, we just can’t catch up. The sad thing is, if we could get a loan for just 1500 dollars, we’d catch up. However, our credit scores together don’t equal 900 points even, so we can’t get a small consolidation loan. We’re trying hard to keep afloat, but we have shutoff notices for gas, electric, our cable is gone, and our internet and phone will be next. If we could afford to file for bankruptcy, we would, but even the fees for that are getting up there in price. And it wouldn’t help the school loans.
Good luck!
The government should consider forgiving everyone’s government debt(school loans and whatnot), just once in life, call it a clean slate program, make it available for one year only. Freeze inflation and gas prices for said year. Sure, a lot of business might go under, for now anyways, but this would open up the way for a lot of good people with bad credit scores to be able to attain some semblence of the American Dream. Cut the number of immigrants allowed in half, and focus on our country instead of sending money we don’t have to underdeveloped nations that need to figure out their own ways to fix their own problems.
If we could get our debts forgiven, we would become productive citizens able to put money back into the economy, instead of the economy spending money to collect money we don’t have. I’d go back to school and get my degree in business management, then I’d start a family business or two. As it stands, even if I can find someone willing to hire me(gas stations won’t because I’m too high risk for theft, according to my credit score anyways, same with bigger business’ that would have to garnish my wages and send my money to the state, noone wants to deal and give me a shot) I wouldn’t be able to help with bills and it would cost more in childcare and transportation than I would bring home every pay period. A very sad state of affairs all around.
Lol- sorry for the rant, it’s just a sore subject around here lately
Bankruptcy Feedback: Partly because everyone realizes that when a very large institution like that fails, then many hard working families all across the country will suffer.
